Backed by a portfolio of intellectual property patents licensed from the pioneering work of Prof. Chunsheng Wang, Prof. Liangbing Hu, and Prof. Robert Briber of the University of Maryland, we are committed to developing battery products that excel in every aspect. Our products are designed to perform optimally in all temperatures, guarantee safety with their non-flammable properties, lower costs, and offer a significantly higher energy density.

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Davis has 30 plus years of international and domestic experience as a successful global business and operations executive in large, small, and startup businesses. John possesses experience in the energy storage industry that includes experiences in lithium battery cell, anode, cathode, and management system product development and manufacturing. He has also been a leader in graphene, titanium, and chemical industry business development and capital expansion. With an MBA in Strategic Planning/Marketing and a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering, John is a globally minded executive leader that has also been a Board Director for two corporations.

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Wu is a seasoned serial entrepreneur with a track record of successes and learning from failures. Bo possesses IPO experiences on both the Nasdaq and Hong Kong Stock Exchange and has lived and worked in key global hubs such as NYC, London, Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong. With a Master's degree in Polymer Material and an MBA in Finance & Marketing, Bo Wu is a globally-minded, multi-talented business leader, continually shaping the entrepreneurial landscape.

Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Zhang is an innovative scientist and entrepreneur. Dr. Zhang has published in prestigious journals, including Nature, and held the position of Associate Principal Scientist at PepsiCo. before he joins Wh-Power. With a background as an Associate Research Scientist at UMD and a Ph.D. under Professor Robert Briber, Dr. Zhang is an expert in cellulose and chitosan ion conductors, driving innovation and scientific progress.



Chief Commercial Officer

Mr. Quirk has over 30 years of executive leadership success in global business development and operations. His track record of building teams and strategic partners will play a key role in Wh-Power's success. His background includes international roles where he succeeded in fund-raising, standing up operations, and commercialization. His passion for innovation aligns seamlessly with Wh-Power's mission, to advance technology while promoting environmental sustainability. With a Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University, Mr. Quirk has also served as advisor to two corporations.

Co-Founder, Advisor

Dr. Wang is a distinguished scientist with an impressive track record, having published in both Science and Nature, and being recognized as one of the top 0.1% of highly cited researchers by Clarivate Web of Science in 2021. Dr. Wang co-founded and directs CREB, a pioneering joint battery research center between UMD and the US Army. His innovative prowess is evident in his multiple Invention of the Year awards at UMD in 2021 and 2015. Dr. Wang's contributions to electrochemistry have also earned him the title of Fellow of The Electrochemical Society in 2023 and the Battery Division Research Award in 2021, showcasing his profound impact on the field.

Co-Founder, Advisor

Dr. Hu is a prominent figure in the academic and scientific community. With an impressive record of 12 publications in both Science and Nature. He is among the top 0.1% of highly cited researchers by Clarivate Web of Science in 2021. Dr. Hu serves as the Director of the Center for Materials Innovation and has received the Invention of the Year award at UMD twice, in 2019 and 2013. He was also a finalist for the Blavatnik Award for Young Scientists in 2019 and 2018, and has been honored with R&D 100 Awards in 2020 and 2018. In 2023, Dr. Hu was appointed as a UMD Distinguished Professor, a testament to his significant contributions to academia and science.

Co-Founder, Advisor

Dr. Briber is a distinguished physicist with notable publications in journals like Science and Nature. Recognized as a Fellow of the American Physical Society and the Neutron Scattering Society of America, Dr. Briber has made significant contributions to their field. Within the University of Maryland, he has taken on influential roles as the Associate Dean for the Engineering School and a Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives, demonstrating his commitment to academic advancement and leadership.
